Here’s the story : Garrett’s dad was an orthodontist. It was his theory that the sooner you pull out a wiggly baby tooth the straighter the big tooth can grow in. Garrett has never had braces and has very straight teeth so there may be truth to this. But Garrett would always hide his wiggly teeth because the fear of getting them yanked as soon as his dad found out. He even begged his dad to pull them out in his sleep because the scariest part was just the dreadful anticipation. His dad didn’t take the weird idea seriously. Well, now Garrett is a dad and when he proposed to strange idea to Cali he was all about it. Big sister Dorothy asked to do it and Cali was fine with it. The “schmuppies” are our besties from Utah who woke up on Christmas morning, surprised their own kids who didn’t know any of this was happening, then immediately left for the airport, still in their Christmas pajamas for a flight to Hawaii! ✈️ ps. ❤️🩹 FULL STORY : on our way to @mounuisland to swim with the humpback whales with @juleshough, we had a 7hr layover in Fiji. I surprised @garrettgee for his Birthday and arranged for a boat to take us to the legendary Cloudbreak surf spot, surf for 2 hours, then blitz us back to the airport just in time for a salty flight onward! Thanks to the expertise of our friends @fiji_malia and @sugarhousefiji we pulled it off! But it came at a price..😨 The waves at Cloudbreak were BIG..like so big I didn’t even paddle out. But @garrettgee and @juleshough went for it! Jules had some amazing waves but unfortunately it ended with her getting slammed into some shallow sharp reef! 😖 She came out of it rattled but smiling but also many cuts on her feet. Jules is a super human and somehow (with a helpful lift here and there from Garrett;) she was able to make it to @mounuisland, swim with the whales, and even perform the very next week on @dancingwiththestars !! I SURPRISED JESS! Thanks to YOUR help! So here’s the story : Jess is a HUGE @backstreetboys fan. For Christmas, I wanted to surprise her with tickets to their Valentine’s Day show. Was I trying to knock off 2 birds with 1 thoughtful stone?? Maaaybe ;) I looked at costs, they were pricey but within our frugal comfort zone, so I got flights and rallied a bunch of friends.
