THE FULL STORY : Our 3 kids have shared the same kids bunk bed room since we moved to Hawaii. So for Dorothy’s 13th birthday, we surprised her by renovating the guest room of our 3 bedroom house and turned it into her very own room! We secretly made plans together starting about 6 months ago. I have 2 big THANK YOUs I need to express.. 1) THANK YOU everyone for the many comments and messages i received after yesterday’s post. It was a day of a lot of tears but your supportive messages full of love, advice, and guidance gave me the encouragement and hope I needed. I spent the entire day on the phone with a variety of PTs, surgeons, stem cell specialist, and voo doo doctors to learn about my options. Above all, it has been a powerful lesson in the goodness of humans to have strangers so willing to help a person in need. I’m very grateful to each of you. 2) THANK YOU to my wife Jessica. How does a 39yr old trying to play pro soccer recover?? I’ll tell you this..it has NOT been easy. After each game my body feels painfully broken and I can barely even take off my own socks :/ But here are a handful of things that have worked best for me : 1. Cupping 2. Ice baths 3. Drinking tonssss of water 4. Magnesium before bed 5. Swimming to keep the body moving but low impact 6. SLEEP 7. Stretching sooo much stretching. Like I don’t sit or lay or stand without constantly stretching. This process has been eye opening for me. It has made me so very grateful for my body, for always doing my best to stay in shape all these years, and continue to do even better. If there’s 1 thing ALWAYS WORTH IT to invest your time, effort, and money ITS YOUR HEALTH! Our next and final game of this tournament is tomorrow. 1 last game. 1 last chance.. WE CAN DO HARD THINGS :):):)

Do I really have tears in my eyes as I write this? The truth is, Morgan is more than just a friend. When I was a young man, he saved my life. When I had no friends in 7th grade he was my friend.
